Are the Holiday Suites residences open?

Regarding the developments of COVID-19, the Belgian federal government has introduced a number of measures and conditions. 

 

Update 27th of March – all residences

On the 27th of March, the federal government extended the measures concerning the fight against the Corona virus until the 19th of April.  This also means that all residences of Holiday Suites will remain closed until the 19th of April.  We will contact our guests who have already booked.  If we haven’t contacted you yet, you can send us an email to info@holidaysuites.be and we will contact you as soon as possible.  The health of our guests, your family and our staff remains important !

 

Update 20 March 2020

Following the government guidelines regarding the Coronavirus, Holiday Suites will no longer accept new bookings until April 5th.

 

Westende / Zeebrugge

The residences of Westende and Zeebrugge will be closed from Friday 20th March until 5th April.

Houthalen-Helchteren

A new measure has been in force since Friday 13 March 17:00h (05:00 PM).  The local government of Houthalen-Helchteren has decided to close all holiday centres and tourist accommodation in Houthalen-Helchteren for residential tourism. This measure applies to all arrivals between 15 March and 5 April.  Guests who have already booked with Holiday Suites will be contacted regarding their reservation.

Blankenberge / Nieuwpoort

Due to the further developments of the past days and hours concerning the current Corona crisis, we at Holiday Suites have decided to close 2 residences on the Belgian Coast as of today March 16th till April 5th.  The health of our guests, your family and friends as well as our staff prevails today ! In the meantime, we continue to monitor the situation and strictly apply the measures taken by the authorities.  Further closures of Holiday Suites are possible in the coming days.

Holiday Suites Blankenberge

Because of the extra measures concerning the fight against the Corona virus, the activities in the construction sector have also been ceased.  At the moment we are renovating our suites at Holiday Suites Blankenberge. This means that these construction works cannot be continued and we therefore have to keep our residence closed for a longer period of time. In order to limit the construction inconvenience for you as a guest as much as possible, we have decided not to reopen the residence until the 15th of May.

De Haan / Jabbeke

From March 23rd till April 5th we will close 2 more residences, Holiday Suites Jabbeke and De Haan.  In the meantime, we will continue to monitor the situation ourselves and take the necessary decisions as Holiday Suites.  We also strictly apply the decisions of the government.  The health situation is the one and only focus here: this is the only way we can limit the infection with the Corona virus.

 

What are the flexible change conditions?

If you have booked your holiday with Holiday Suites and it cannot go ahead or you wish to book your next holiday today, we offer you the following flexibility.

You can change your booking free of charge. What does this mean precisely?

  • You need to notify us 24 hours before your initial arrival date and inform us of your new arrival date.
  • You can change your booking via email: info@holidaysuites.be or via +32 (0)2 588 03 03.
  • The new arrival date should be in 2020.
  • You can move your stay once and you can also choose another destination or length of stay.
  • The amount paid will not be refunded.
  • If you move your stay to a more expensive period, you will pay the difference on top of it.
  • These rules only apply to direct bookings, without intermediaries.
  • If you have booked through a tour operator, please contact them directly.

Holiday Suites has the right to reverse these temporary flexible change conditions at any time and thus stop them.

 

Hygiene

We always clean our accommodations according to the highest standards. As a result of the current situation, we have tightened up our procedures and increased the use additional disinfectants.  Every destination is provided with disinfecting products, gloves and mouth masks. Our cleaning teams have also been given adapted procedures to treat contact points with extra rigour, such as remote controls, switches, lifts, etc.,...


Of course, we also follow the recommendations of the federal government and the development of the coronavirus closely. If the situation so requires, we will continue to adapt our procedures where necessary.

Digital reception
With our digital reception you don't have to check in at a physical reception and wait in a long queue. You will receive your access codes via e-mail or SMS and you can go directly to your suite.

Food
Our suites have an equipped kitchen, allowing you to continue cooking in your own accomodation.
According to the guidelines, food stores remain open as usual. Restaurants, on the other hand, are no longer allowed to receive guests, but can offer a take-away service.
