What you need to know about De Haan...

De Haan is not your typical seaside town. No high-rise buildings or busy boulevards here, but winding lanes, white villas, and grand houses in Belle Époque style. In the heart of the ‘Concessie’, it feels like time stood still. Even Albert Einstein found refuge here just before World War II. You can feel the history as you stroll through the streets.

 

What is there to do?

Nature and tranquillity take centre stage. You can walk through dunes and forests, cycle along open landscapes, or go horse riding on the beach. At the end of the promenade lies the Windhaan, where you can try various water sports: surfing, sailing, kayaking, SUP and more.

 

Central location on the Belgian coast

De Haan lies between Bredene and Blankenberge and is easily accessible. Ostend is just a 10-minute drive away, Bruges only 15 minutes. You stay in a peaceful setting, with everything within reach.
