From March 23rd till April 5th we will close 2 more residences, Holiday Suites Jabbeke and De Haan. In the meantime, we will continue to monitor the situation ourselves and take the necessary decisions as Holiday Suites. We also strictly apply the decisions of the government. The health situation is the one and only focus here: this is the only way we can limit the infection with the Corona virus.
When you think of Jabbeke, the recreation area ‘Het Klein Strand’ pops immediately into your head. A holiday full of water fun guaranteed!
For many years now, ‘Het klein Strand’ is a fixed value for a successful holiday thanks to the recreation area, a water paradise for young and old. The big swimming pond with waterslide complex and sand beach are the ideal setting for a family holiday and there is even a shallow pool for the little ones.
The swimming pond is also the ideal spot for waterskiing, you can even take lessons at the local waterski school. The most recent attraction is the WOW-park, an inflatable construction floating on the water with no less than 15 attractions and jungle gyms.
In the recreation area you can also go fishing, play petanque and rent go-carts.

The new holiday homes of Holiday Suites, for 2 to 6 people, are situated on the beautiful recreation area ‘Klein Strand’ next to the swimming pond. Every holiday home has a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with television and a balcony.
Besides the recreation park ‘Het Klein Strand’, Jabbeke has much more to offer. Thanks to its strategic location, the city is the perfect base to discover the best of West-Flanders!
Jabbeke is only 9 minutes away from Ostend, known as the “The Queen of the Belgian sea-side resorts”, and a 20 minutes drive away from the beautiful city of Bruges, where you can admire numerous museums and historic buildings. Bruges is not called ‘Brugge die Scone’ for nothing, the city was even given the title of UNESCO World Heritage city. Culture lovers can indulge themselves with a visit to the ‘Groeningemuseum’ and the ‘Gruuthusemuseum’. Even the basilica from ‘heilig bloed’, the Belfort or the ‘Begijnhof’ are a real must see. What certainly should not be missed on the program is a ride in the horse-drawn carriage or a boat trip on the ‘Brugse reien’.
Next to beautiful Bruges, there is still a lot more to discover. Jabbeke is part of a region called ‘The Hinterland of Bruges‘, known for its beautiful forests and castles, such as the Castle of Loppem, the Tudor domain and Bulskampveld. It’s the ideal setting for a beautiful hike or bicycle ride.
There are also many exciting activities for kids in the region. Amusement parks like Bellewaerde, Boudewijn Seapark and animal shelter De Zonnegloed guarantee a day of fun with the whole family. As you can see, a holiday in Jabbeke can never last long enough!
